Terms and Conditions
Effective January 1, 2026
Trueseal Charleston Insulation Company, insulationcontractorcharleston.com, hello@insulationcontractorcharleston.com
Accepting these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or hire Trueseal Charleston Insulation Company for insulation work. By browsing the site, sending us a request or booking a job, you agree to them.
If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site and call us before you book, so we can talk it through. A signed estimate or work agreement for your job also applies, and where it differs from these terms, the signed document controls.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Charleston, SC, and we work in Charleston and the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall and crawl space insulation, blown-in insulation, spray foam, air sealing, vapor barriers and removing old insulation. You can see the full list from our home page.
The information on this site is general. It explains how the work usually goes, but every house is different, and what your attic or crawl space actually needs is something we can only confirm once we've looked at it in person. Nothing on the site is a promise about your specific job until it's written into your estimate.
Estimates and pricing
Our estimates are free, in person and obligation-free. We look at what's already in place, how much space there is to work in, and whether old material has to come out first, and then we give you a written scope and price.
An estimate is based on what we can see and reach on the day. If we open up an area and find something we couldn't see before, like soaked or contaminated insulation, hidden damage or blocked access, we'll stop, explain what we found and get your approval before doing extra work or changing the price.
Prices on an estimate are good for the period written on it. After that, material costs may have moved, so we may need to update the price before scheduling.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We schedule jobs once you've accepted an estimate, and we'll give you a date and an arrival window. Weather, material deliveries and earlier jobs running long can shift the schedule, and if that happens we'll let you know as early as we can and set a new time.
On the day, we need clear access to the work area, such as the attic hatch, the crawl space entrance and a path through the house. Some products, especially spray foam, require you, your kids and your pets to stay out of the house until the product's re-entry time has passed, which is when the maker says it's safe to come back. We'll go over that with you before the job so you can plan around it.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (843) 278-0544 as soon as you know. If we've already ordered special materials or turned other work away for your date, any cancellation charge will be the one stated in your signed estimate or work agreement.
Payment
Payment terms for your job, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written on your estimate or work agreement. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished and we've walked you through it.
If a payment is late, we may pause work that hasn't started yet until the account is current. We'll always talk to you first, because most payment issues are a simple misunderstanding that a phone call clears up.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
We stand behind our work. If something we installed isn't right, tell us and we'll come back to look at it and make it right. Insulation materials also carry the maker's own warranty, and those warranties pass to you on their terms, not ours.
Our guarantee doesn't cover damage or problems we didn't cause, such as roof leaks, plumbing leaks, pests, flooding, storm damage, or changes someone else makes to the work after we leave. It also doesn't cover results that depend on things outside our scope, like an aging HVAC system or ductwork we weren't hired to touch.
Apart from the guarantee above, the written terms of your estimate and any maker's warranty, we don't make other promises about the work, express or implied, to the fullest extent South Carolina law allows. Comfort and power bills depend on many things in a house, so we can't promise a specific temperature or a specific savings amount.
Limits on our liability
Trueseal Charleston Insulation Company is licensed and insured. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim tied to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We aren't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a room, lost income or the cost of staying elsewhere, except where the law doesn't allow that limit. We're also not responsible for conditions that existed before we arrived and that we told you about or couldn't reasonably see.
This website is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise it's free of errors or always available, and we aren't responsible for websites we link to.
If we disagree about something
If you're unhappy with any part of the work or your bill, call us first. Most problems get solved fastest when we come out, look at it together and agree on a fix.
If we can't settle it that way, either of us may take the matter to the state or federal courts serving Charleston County, South Carolina, and both of us agree that those courts are the right place to hear it.
South Carolina law applies
These terms, the use of this website and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. A change won't alter the terms of a job you've already signed for unless we both agree to it in writing.
Questions about these terms
If anything here is unclear, ask us before you book. You can call (843) 278-0544, Monday through Sunday from 7 AM to 10 PM, or send a note through our contact page, and we respond within 1 business day.
